KIPP Memphis Public Schools Achieve Top TVAAS Growth Distinction
KIPP Memphis Public Schools (KMPS) is proud to announce that three of its schools—KIPP Memphis Collegiate Elementary (KMCE), KIPP Memphis Collegiate Middle (KMCM), and KIPP Memphis Collegiate High (KMCH)—have achieved a Level 5 Composite score, the highest possible rating for academic growth on the 2023 Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System (TVAAS). Notably, KMCE and KMCM have reached this achievement for the second consecutive year, while KMCH earned this prestigious distinction for the first time, marking a significant milestone in its academic progress.
This Level 5 achievement in the TVAAS composite highlights the exceptional progress KIPPsters are making across the board. It reflects the impact of KIPP Memphis’s rigorous academic approach, innovative programs, and a dedicated team of educators who believe that “Good is Not Good Enough.” KMPS remains committed to raising the bar, implementing new initiatives, and providing resources that allow both teachers and students to thrive.
“These TVAAS results are a true reflection of the collective commitment across the KIPP Memphis network,” said Dr. Antonio Burt, CEO of KIPP Memphis Public Schools. “Our educators, scholars, and families are united in the pursuit of excellence, working together to surpass expectations and unlock the full potential of every KIPPster.”
KMPS congratulates its students, teachers, and community on this remarkable accomplishment, proving that through dedication and resilience, exceptional academic growth is not just achievable—it’s the expectation.
