KIPP Memphis Marks 20 Years of Service

It is a monumental year at KIPP Memphis Public Schools (KMPS), marking 20 years of serving families in the Memphis area. A commitment to academic excellence is key in maintaining a pipeline to success. Our focus to get Back to BASICS chronicles the 25-year track record of our charter network’s mission to provide high-quality education to all who enter our schools. 

To celebrate this milestone year, our journey to maintain positive culture and an effective instructional and operational foundation, KIPP Memphis kicked off commemorations with a spirit week October 24-28 to engage students, employees, alumni and our communities. Each theme centered around the KIPP mission and our Back to BASICS objectives. School activities varied between our campuses, however, all highlighted the cornerstones of our path forward.

The block party served as a culminating event that included several community partners, first responders, and educational program vendors, entertainment and more.
